Spawn / myco grow bags are used for mushroom cultivation. These bags are made form durable 3 mil polypropylene and measure 5x4x18 inches and have a 0.2 micron filter patch. These bags are ideal for bulk substrate such as compost, wood chips or straw. They are autoclavable, reusable and can be sealed with an impulse sealer or just tied shut at the ends. Each bag can easily hold 3-6 pounds of substrate. These bags can be used for spawn production to inoculate bulk substrates like straw or compost, or you can fruit your substrate right inside the bag itself. The breathable technology behind these bags provide gas exchange, but exclude water vapor, so your spawn does not dehydrate. Myco grow bags are a far superior and economical choice when it comes to growing mushrooms as opposed to using the old outdated mason jar method.
